Day 1 - Grahamstown to Bedford

Grahamstown to Bedford. 94 kilometers! They are safe and sound. News is that it did not go too badly. Dying to know more but they are not answering their phones. Probably passed out - I know I would be!
The first 65k's were ok until they had to do some hill climbing through the mountains. Apparently the miggies were getting into their eyes so the plan is to start earlier in the morning. The day took them approximately 8 hours. The first 3 nights they are spending with friends on farms before tackling the roadside camping.
