This must be attributed to my very creative brother in law Andrew Murray Hofmeyr who saw the pictures of AJ and Karin practicing their rice cooking skills and suggested that this could be named "Reis met rys projek" or TTYF (Tastic Takes You Further) and so it is Reis met Rys. They practised at home and managed to cook a huge pot of tastic rice over a bully beef tin with only 1 piece of blitz - can't claim to understand it all but have a look at the pictures and see for yourselves.
On the 20th of November 2011 my nephew and his girlfriend left Grahamstown on an epic bike ride to Windhoek. This ride covered more than 2000 km's, over three countries in 20 days. This is that story. Grahamstown, Bedford, Cradock, Middelburg, Hanover, Phillipstown, Orania, Hopetown, Kimberley, Warrenton, Vryburg, Ganyesa, Bray, Werda, Khakhea, Bulukubalo, Morwametsi, Kang, Thootsa, Buitepos, Gobabis, Witvlei, Seeis, Windhoek!
Heading towards Seeis

Why Reis met Rys?
